COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

dreadnord (1012) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 13, 2012
Pours dark brown, almost black with a small head that disappears quickly. Nose is heavy brown sugar, some caramel and some sour fruit. This is one is way to sweet, absolutely no balance whatsoever. Hard to drink in fact. Mouthfeel is crisp and fizzy, flavor lingers for a long time but again, the extreme sweetness made this beer hard to drink and I only could finish half before pouring it out.

Head disappears relatively quickly, lacing remianing. Tastes malty, with some tannic bitterness and dark fruit tang. Not too sweet, and mildy bitter overall. Well balanced. Little to no hop flavor.

bierbeek (97) - Beek, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2011
33cl bottle. Auburn colour with rocky white head Sweet aroma containing malts and caramel. Taste is bitter, burned sweet malts, some iron. Finish is sweetbitter, dry and short. One of the better bock-beers. Not to sweet.

MADpalace (219) - Budel, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2014 Dark brown, almost black, but with a slightly red shine and creamy beige collar. Light sweet smell of nuts with some hop in the background. Sweet nutty taste, with acid in the back. Has more beer flavor compared to an average bock. With some dirty smoke after taste and with a sticky mouth.

GSAP (739) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2011

Bottle from the Netherlands, September 2011 Little bit of sweet toffee and also a touch metallic, soft in mouth, mmhh.. this is quite safe, a little dark fruity tang, little metallic in mouth, warmth from alcohol. Pours dark brown with a beige head, its ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Donker roodbruin, kraag creme-kleurig. Weinig uitgesproken bockbier. Vrij zoet en wat overrijp fruit in de smaak. Geen hoogvlieger onder de bokken.

Kavu (4722) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 21, 2011
Pours very dark red with a medium head. Aroma is wheat and banana. Flavor is roasted malts and some banana. Not bad at all.

Martinus (4601) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - OCT 13, 2011
Brown red colour, big fluffy tan head. Malty aroma, caramel, dried fruits, some roasted tones. Flavour sweet, but less sweet than some others in the genre. Malty, caramel. Body on the thin side. Dry roasted finish with some bitterness. Not bad for a bock, but Im not the greatest fan of the genre.
(Draught @ Caf in Baarle-Nassau)
