COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

MADpalace (219) - Budel, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2014 Dark brown, almost black, but with a slightly red shine and creamy beige collar. Light sweet smell of nuts with some hop in the background. Sweet nutty taste, with acid in the back. Has more beer flavor compared to an average bock. With some dirty smoke after taste and with a sticky mouth.

GSAP (757) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2011

Bottle from the Netherlands, September 2011 Little bit of sweet toffee and also a touch metallic, soft in mouth, mmhh.. this is quite safe, a little dark fruity tang, little metallic in mouth, warmth from alcohol. Pours dark brown with a beige head, it’s ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Donker roodbruin, kraag creme-kleurig. Weinig uitgesproken bockbier. Vrij zoet en wat overrijp fruit in de smaak. Geen hoogvlieger onder de bokken.

Pours very dark red with a medium head. Aroma is wheat and banana. Flavor is roasted malts and some banana. Not bad at all.

Brown red colour, big fluffy tan head. Malty aroma, caramel, dried fruits, some roasted tones. Flavour sweet, but less sweet than some others in the genre. Malty, caramel. Body on the thin side. Dry roasted finish with some bitterness. Not bad for a bock, but I’m not the greatest fan of the genre.

Bottle. Brown colour with a tanned head. Aroma of roast, apples, ripe fruits and malts. Flavour is full and fresh. Starts off with roastiness, continues into freshness with malts and finishes a bit sweet. Well balanced, good bockbier.

MMR (832) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 8, 2011
Pours dark brown with a redish glow and small foam head. Has a typical aroma of Hertog Jan with most notably caramel and toast. Strong bitter-sweet and a real Bock-treat.

erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - OCT 5, 2011
Dark brown with some red glow and with a small tan head. Deep malty aroma with toast, raisin, croissant and maybe some cacao. Aroma misses complexity but is decent enough with a solid light fruity sweetness while maintaining the malty focus. Mouthfeel is smooth. Ends quickly though, maybe needs some more hops. Nothing wrong with this. (33cl bottle)
