UPDATED: APR 7, 2016 The beer looks like a proper bock beer. The color is a nice dark ruby red, wen seen in the light. In the dark it is almost black. The beer pours layer of almond colored foam. The smell is sweet. There is cherries and red fruit. I also smell some sweet alcohol. There is some almond aswell. I also smell some dark roasted aroma’s. The smell is very nice, robust and strong. It is nice and autumny, but not the best bok smell ever. The taste is nice aswell. I taste almond, licorice, a little roast, and red fruit. Pretty much the same as the smell, with additional licorice. The taste is nice, but there are better bock beers. Not bad though. The finish has an almond flavor at first, followed by a drought. It asks for a sip of water to make the mouth wet again. 77ships (9632) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 27, 2015
300 ml. bottle. 2015 Vintage. BBF 04/2017. Deep red brown, little tanned head on the sides. Nose is weirdly unpleasant moldy herbs syrup, rotting dark fruits & cleaning agents,… Taste is a bit better weird heavy fish guts notes mixed with syrup, caramel, herbal, syrup, root beer, red fruits, herbal caramel,… Lots of weird notes. I expected this to be either boring or unpleasant not freaking bizarre. Thinned, varnish syrup. Weird, partially enjoyable even if only for the strangeness of it all. [9/28/15] Bottle on a bench at Dam square in Amsterdam. Drank straight from the bottle. Aroma of malt, caramel, dark fruit and a bit of toast. Sweet caramelly flavor, sugary, with some dark fruits, licorice, light toastiness, and a bitterish finish with some alcohol. Kinda sticky mouthfeel.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2015 Prima Bockbier, drinkt lekker weg. Beter dan de meeste van zijn soort, maar kan toch niet tippen aan die van La Trappe. Beerhunter111 (20331) - P´Castle, GERMANY - OCT 6, 2015

30cl bottle at home. Pours a brown reddish colour with a decent foamy head that leaves lacing. Aroma’s of malt, syrup and caramel. Taste is pretty sweet with notes of brown sugar, caramel and dried fruits. A bit watery with average to low carbonation. ZodiacM (1140) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 2, 2015
Makkelijk drinkbaar bokbiertje, prettig zoet, licht bittertje, caramel, mout. Was wel verrast door dit bokbiertje, smaakvol, niet hoogdravend, maar lekker te drinken. DutchMark (395) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 30, 2015
Ok dutch fall season bock. A bit tame and very accessible. The burned malts could be more pronounced and it lacks hop bitterness. Sugar sweetness instead of malt or caramel sweetness. Nice enough but I prefer others my supermarket sells as well.
