COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Fris zoetig caramel aroma. Donker robijn kleurig met een kleine schuimkraag. Komt zacht binnen en smaakt als een hertog jan, zacht caramel achtig en houtig van smaak erg waterig. Met een zachte kruidenbitter als afdronk.

Draught at hotel in Bodegraven. Shared with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: clear dark brown beer, nice stable beige head. NOSE: caramel, some malts, nothing much. TASTE: caramel, malts, oversweet aftertaste, just plain bad beer.

Nice winter beer, sweet, typical taste, it is easy to drink and goes very well with food as not too bitter

On tap at Zest. Clear very deep brown red pour with just off white head. Aroma is fruity, light caramel, very light berry fruitiness. Taste is sweet, a lot of brown sugar. Palate is med light bodied, we’ll attenuated but quite simple / brown sugar forward.

0,33l bottle. Average bockbeer. Easy to drink, but nothing special. There are a lot better bockbeers than this one.

Bottle 30cl. Deep brown, near black with a small off white head that fades. Aroma reminds me of walnuts, there’s sweetness too. The taste is not bad at all. At first a subtle sweetness that combines bitterness. The Co2 is also noticeable. Slightly disappointed about the chemical aftertaste.

Ok bock beer: really nice color but lacks some taste. Misses some warmth, like the freshness though.

0,3 l bottle from Albert Heijn XL in Roermond. Clear dark red brown, sticky tan head. An absolute beauty! Weak aroma of molasses, caramel and candy sugar. Taste is the same with some sweetness. Thick texture, almost no carbonation. Some subtle bitterness in the end. First Bock for me this year, a really good one!
