COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Sampled at a bottle share at Goose island's offices. A barrel-aged quad. Am I lucky or what? Too bad this is toward the end of a long session. What I have written down says this is sweet, and plenty oaky.

average frothy light-brown head. good lacing. mostly diminishing. flat dark reddish-brown body. aroma: moderate roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, plum, prune, red wine, wood, alcohol. initial flavor: moderate sweet light acidic. final flavor: light sweet and acidic, plus very light bitter; long duration. Palate: medium body, watery/oily texture, lively carbonation and metallic moderate alcoholic finish. The malt is rich and strong, with a deep caramel complexity. The fruity esters are strong to moderately low, and contain plum and prune notes.delicioso dulçor maltado permeado por leve acidez de frutas vermelhas, como morango e ameixa fresco. alcohol provides some of the balance to the malt. Generally malty-rich balance, but can be fairly even with bitterness. The complex and varied flavors should blend smoothly and harmoniously. Esconde bem os 10%. Medio aquecimento alcoolico, sem ser agressivo. Magnifica cerveja. Leve malte tostado no final. Produzida em abril de 2017 – validade indeterminada. 330 s

Dark brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, burnt sugar, plum/raisins, some chocolate. Medium to heavy sweetness, mildly bitter. Could've used some body, it's a bit on the thin side, soft to a medium carbonation. Very enjoyable brew.
