Bottle. Dark brown color with a nice head, short duration. Heavy aroma of spices, sweet banan, plums and vanilla notes. Taste is good and well rounded with spices and some alcohol. Long good finish.

30 cL bottle, thanks to Grovlam. Pours amber with a lacing light brown head. Herbal and berry fruity aroma, slight alcohol note. Sweet and alcohol flavour, slight herbal too. Ends slight malty, alcohol warming. Slight acidic to citric fruityness. Wins something for every sip but is still slightly too alcoholic for my liking. The aroma is slightly sweet with notes of plums and other fruits. The color is a deep red and it has an OK but fast disappearing head. The flavor is a soft rounded sweet, fruit rich, complex one. Ending on a fruit rich dryness after a middle with a good sweetness. A fantastic beer. joergen (28142) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2005

Bottled. Deep ruby red colour, small beige head. Aroma is toffee, licorice and some hints of alcohol. Flavour is alcohol, fruits, spices, licorice and some mild yeast. Wellbalanced, quite pleasant for being this strong. omhper (25131) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2008
<i<Bottled. Clear ruby, small creamy head. Raisiny madeira aroma. Sweet and sticky with roasty, chewy malt covered by some bubblegum esters and raspberry brandy. Towards the finish without bitterness it akll drowns in sweetness. More power than depth. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 3, 2005
(Bottle 30 cl) Dark, slightly reddish brown and hazy with a small head. Malty and fruity flavours with notes of figs and dates. Sweetish yes, but not cloying. Very heavy and potent - to be enjoyed in small quantities! Comes close to some of the best Belgian abbey ales. The brewery calls this a Barley Wine - gerstewijn. 250802 Travlr (24826) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 29, 2012
Draft. 2008 version. I could not detect anything prestigious about this one. Darka maroon, white edge head. Aroma of tawny port. Taste is similar. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 3, 2011

Warning! Early amateur rating! Dark beer. Rich toffee malt. Hint of chocolate. Smooth and sumptuos. Lingering malt finish. Very nice.
