By far the best Hertog Jan until now. Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Deep and clear dark golden colour with low head. Nose is malt. Taste of low malt, mild hops, ripe grains and fresh grass. Refreshing, easy to drink. markschiedon (692) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 14, 2014
Drinking from a 33 cl bottle.
In the aroma bitterness, grapefruit and citrus.
The clear, orange beer has a small white head.
In the taste also grapes and bitterness. Nicely balanced.
Medium carbonated. bierkoning (13813) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 9, 2011
Bottle. Golden blonde. Nice floral citric hops in the aroma and flavor. Just a bit thin. Sweetish. Floral citric aftertaste. Pleasant, but lacks character.

Golden blond but too clear body with soapy white head that lasts. Very yeasty, Belgian-style character with barnyard, bit of lemon, grass, nuts and rubber. Quite nice actually! Unpretentious light bitter taste disappoints a little. It’s mostly the body thats too watery. Carbonation is perfect though and a clear, somewhat fruity bitter after taste makes my experience postive overall. Postive development from this brewer. vipinvelp (4580) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - APR 26, 2012
Clar darker yellow with nice foam head. A soft toned pilsener with some strong basic tastes, nice bitter. A good beer for lighter drinking. (Velp 201203)
