Ungstrup (36878) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2004
A deep red beer with a fine brown head. The aroma is roasted. The flavor is very slightly sour on a sweet background, and the body is thin. An OK beer without being anything special.

Dark red-amber coloured beer with a small head.Sweet, slightly roasted dark bread aroma. Very sweet and rather thin. Typical low alcohol oud bruin. Not my cup of tea.

Sweet, sugary, cola, caramel and glue. Nothing more, nothing less. This one is at least drinkable.

It's a little bit sad from Hertog Jan. I know they can brew some better beers than this crap.

The worst of the Hertog Jans, but thats just because of the style: Oud Bruin is a beer that is made by most large Dutch breweries, but its not very popular. The sweetness (brown suger) and the practical absence of alcohol gave this brew a reputation of a womens beer (no offence ;-)). Not a very good style.

Way to sweet and rotten-fruit-tasting for me. Not my favorite style for sure.

jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - OCT 27, 2002
Cola and light horseblanket aroma. Very dark ruby colour, nice head, good lace. Very sweet and thin, maybe a little cola flavor but thats it. Very short finish.
