16 oz. can. Pours a medium thick, well retained, ivory head, with light lacing, over a clear deep copper (SRM 18) body.......nose is toasted malts, with light vanilla, mild toffee/caramel tones, light floral hops, balanced......taste is toasted malts, with light cocoa, toffee/caramel tones, light vanilla, mild hop spice, dry throughout, finishing with mild hop bitterness, balanced nicely between malts and hops.....mouth feel, medium light body, no alcohol, light carbonation. This is a nicely balanced, clean, refreshing, easy drinking beer. Although it is well done to the style, it is on the simple end of the beer spectrum. Can pint - it pours a clear darker than expected copper/brown similar to fresh steeped tea also a thin off white head that almost dissipates completely. Enticing aroma of ripe fruity malts, dry tea and a mild earthy style hops. Bitter hop note thru and thru a malty structure. Not overpowering but solid. onceblind (9869) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 5, 2017
Clear dark copper hue under a thin tight white cap. Brisk amber lagery malt aroma with a faint little bit of creaminess in there. Smooth and bright flavor that’s gently lagery and gently creamy with nice Vienna malt and gentle caratoffee nuances throughout. Really crisp and clean and semisweet yet traditionally Germanic.
