COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It’s refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Bottle from Cafe Bruxelles, Leicester. Golden and almost clear with a big foamy white head. Banana and candy sugar yeast in the aroma.Sweet yeasty taste with just a touch of metallic flavour nearing the finish.body is slight thin although this is buoyed up by heavy carbonation. Sweet spice, sourdough, lemon drops, banana and some soap in the aftertaste. A nice Tripel but not my favourite.

Where Purchased: 330ml bottle from a mixer pack at the LCBO Consumed: from a chalice provided in the mixer pack Aroma: Smells sweet, slight malt and a little booze. Appearance : unfiltered medium gold with thick head that disperses to a nice layer of head that lasts to the last drop. Excellent sticky lacing. Taste: sweet, malty with just a hint of hops. Booze almost non existent. Palate : medium body. Sweet aftertaste. Good carbonation. Overall: Its hard to mess up a Tripel, but man this one delivered. One of the best examples I've had. You would never know it was 9% ABV. BUY IT. I was glad to try and will buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on.

Cloudy gold hue. Wonderful fluffy white head. An unctuous smell — whoa — I forgot how good this is. Rich, complex, yet delicate. The classic elements of a Belgian triple are there: clove, banana, bubble gum, but none truly stand out, they are perfectly married together under a shower of flower petals. Rose and lilac bring a unique floral aroma that brightens the heavier caramel undertones.. Super fluffy on the palate, it starts with a burst of juicy nectar, mango, passion fruit, orange zest and coriander. Grainy malts fill in the texture and cover the 9% ABV. Ends on a spicy dry note, with light hops that linger until the next sip. Fantastic.
