Dit bier heeft bittere en zoete kanten. Gebrande mout en karamel overheersen. Verder wat fruit. Prima.

Bottle at Kings Head in Norwich, shared with friends. Solid foamy off-white head to a clear golden-brown body. Sweet aromas of caramel and dried fruits. Flavours of bread, dried fruits and candy sweet brown malts. The berry fruits at the ending keep all the sweetness at bay. Warming and nice (18.02.2017).

Hazy amber color with stable beige, creamy head. Aroma of caramel, sugar. Taste is medium sweet with notes of dark fruits. Alcohol is coming a bit through, but what can you expect from 9%. Nice and full body. Pretty good one.

Pours a brown head with cinnamon and ginger aromas. Amber to brown colored body. Some Metallic taste in mouth. Alcohol is well balanced but lacks thickness and length for a great dubbel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Visual: Pours dirty reddish brown with a 1cm head, 2mm super foamy retention, clusters upon clusters of fast active micro streams. Delectable.

Nose: brown sugar+candi sugar, date barley malt, prune. (lvl-9)-pungency

Attack: thick-crisp, creamy

Mid-palate: alcoholic heavy, (lvl-8-sweetness), dates, molasses-bready barley malt

Finish: nutmeg exhale, off dry woody hops, residual toasted barley malt

Summary: The barley malt-date flavour is decently interesting with some spice notes to that travel alongside it. The alcoholic heaviness detracts from the experience, but in the end you get a creeper buzz. The quality and richness are there although I’d rather try something else next session.
