Bière belge, brune typique. Épices et amertume, notes de chocolat très légères. Bien fait dans l ’ensemble, mais corps un peu léger. llkc (2736) - århus, DENMARK - JUN 23, 2016

Bottle. Pours hazy ruby copper brown with stable beige head. Clear aroma of caramel, malt and yeast, mwith notes of fruit and hops. Roasty flavour with hippy hints and sweet notes of caramel malt, yeast and fruit. Roasty and nutty aftertaste with fruity hints. Medium carbonation but creamy mouthfeel. Decent stuff. cmacklin (1310) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 17, 2016
330ml bottle. Pours a cloudy red-brown with lots of sediment floating around and a large, frothy, long lasting, beige head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of overripe fruit, caramel malt, yeast and spice. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, overripe fruit, brown sugar, yeast and spice with a dry, metallic, boozy finish. Medium to full body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Not bad. KoNrRiI (1624) - Århus, DENMARK - JUN 11, 2016
0.33 bottle. A hazy, dark brown color with a small, off-white head and no lacing. Aroma is composed of caramel malts, port wine, and smoked dark brown ham. Taste of barrel, wood, smoked ham, a touch of chocolate - it is a tad vinous. A medium body, a creamy texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is medium long and also sweet and chocolaty. Overall not a bad beer, like everything could be improved.

330 cl bottle Another wonderful Belgian beer, dark, nice aroma, good feel on the tongue. Nicely balanced with alcohol, a bit bitter but at the right level for me. This would be nice to try on tap.... invinoveritas (156) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAY 26, 2016
Bottle at restaurant. Cloudy orange-brown with a rich nose - think oud, alcohol, Christmas and a leather saddle. The nose sets the tone for the taste - intense leather with lavashak, stone fruit, and some well controlled alcohol, which lends the beer a good body. This one is quite good actually. minutemat (6063) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 26, 2016
330ml bottle from Verheyde, Watou. Pours dark brown, good cream head. Aroma is dark fruits, brown sugar, caramel. Taste is smooth, well-balanced full flavour, perhaps not as sweet as a Belgian dubbel but in the same ball-park. Very tasty indeed. LeWorm (61) - FRANCE - MAY 10, 2016
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2016 On tap @ la tireuse Toulouse. Robe foncée, tête légère.Nez caramel, fruits rouges. Bouche toffee, c?est très caramelisé, extrêmement riche et complexe. Palais très long et sucré. Shark_Pants (765) - AUSTRALIA - APR 8, 2016
Toffee coloured pour, relatively clear, reasonable sized beige head. Sweet aromas of caramel, plums, dates, bread. The sweetness is also reflected in the taste but with a strong hoppiness as well - burnt caramel, brown toast, plums, cola, earthy and spicy hops. Long bitter finish. Medium bodied and slick. Quite good without being outstanding.
