Bottled. Amber colour with big beige creamy head. Aroma of raisins, malts and bananas. Flavour is metallic (strong metallic) with caramellish malty hints. Otherwise good, but the metallicness is ruining it. Aftertaste has some spices in it along with the caramellishness. omhper (25160) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 12, 2003
Bottled. Dark roast brown, lightly cloudy. Caramel aroma. Dry with notes of almond and dark bitter Belgian chocolate. Malty and lightly fruity, but the image of a perfect beer is broken a slightly sharp mouthfeel. A dry, smooth caramel finish with pleasant hop bitter finish still makes it if not perfect, so at least great. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 21, 2009
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear deep amber with a beige head. Oxidied caramel aroma. Solid body, overripe fruit, metal and oxidized caramel accents. Discreetly bitter. Very rustic. 211009Travlr (24913) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 29, 2008

(Bottle 33 cl) Light brown beer with a huge, beige head. Pronounced chocolate-notes and a lot of over-ripe fruit in the flavour. Almost portwineish. The hops don’t dominate but are sufficient to even out the sweetness. Very refined and excellent indeed. 061097
UPDATED: APR 11, 2010 On draught at the brewery tap. Dark brown with large light brown head that lingers. Aroma of chocolate chip cookie dough. Full mouth, big malt taste with overtones of caramel and toffee. Bitter finish. Big brew, very nice, and the bottled version should improve nicely with age. Bottle shared at Partizan - cheer to the crew. Pours unclear golden-reddish-brown, with a foamy, yellowish head. The aroma has a good bit of ripening berries, cherry, bread, Belgian yeast. Medium to big sweet flavour with lots of ready sugars, toffee, some earth, crusty brown bread, toffee, more berries, phenols. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish with lots of toasted sugars, more toffee, ripe berries, more year, bread. A bit straightforward but not bad overall.
