Aroma of banana, bubble gum, nuts, toffee, bread, some spices and some interesting herbal hints at last. Amber color which comes to hazy pouring the yeast from the bottom of the bottle. Medium sweetness, medium body, lively carbonation, astringent finish. It sounds to be like the poor brother of the more famous belgians: it barely looks like them but its less harmonius and it has an unpleasant tannic note that ruins everything.

Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer is dark brown colored and has a large and stable cream colored head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is malty and fruity, with notes of roasted malts, caramel, dried and dark fruits and spices. The taste is sweet and full bodied and also has a spicy bitterness. In the taste tones of roasted malts and caramel, but also raisins and fruits and when the bitterness takes over, some fresh hops and spices. The finish is bitter and a little dry and some alcohol is noticable.

Flaska frn Belgiuminabox.

A dark brown beer, a head is quite big and beige. Aroma has dark and dried fruits, also some fresh fruits, prunes, some spicyness and peel of wheat bread. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Good beer.

Visual: Pours dirty reddish brown with a 1cm head, 2mm super foamy retention, clusters upon clusters of fast active micro streams. Delectable.

Nose: brown sugar+candi sugar, date barley malt, prune. (lvl-9)-pungency

Attack: thick-crisp, creamy

Mid-palate: alcoholic heavy, (lvl-8-sweetness), dates, molasses-bready barley malt

Finish: nutmeg exhale, off dry woody hops, residual toasted barley malt

Summary: The barley malt-date flavour is decently interesting with some spice notes to that travel alongside it. The alcoholic heaviness detracts from the experience, but in the end you get a creeper buzz. The quality and richness are there although Id rather try something else next session.

Muddy brown colour, average slightly off-white head, decent retention and lacing. Aroma shows sweet biscuity malts and hints of dark fruits among a delicate alcohol/warming feel. Its nice but not too vivid. Taste follows the aroma plus a hint of spiciness. Obviously on the sweet side but not excessively so. Alcohol is detectable but not aggressive, brings a bit of a warming feel. Medium body (quite light for style and abv) with average to high carbonation; clean and quite easy for the style but not too rich or creamy. Enjoyable

Flaska @ Pressklubben. Mrk vtska med fingertjockt skum. Inget srskilt som sticker ut. En generisk mrk belgare, helt enkelt.
