Draft Third of a Pint at GBBF 2014, Olympia, London Aug 2014 - Black in colour. Slight tan head. Malty; roasty malts, dark chocolate, hint of coffee. Fruity; light grapefruit citrus. Hoppy; piney hops. Nice balance (for a Black IPA). Sweet-bitter roast malty chocolatey and fruity. Unusually drinkable (for a Black IPA). Decent. (2014-08-16)

SlackerMads (3290) - DENMARK - OCT 15, 2016
Bottle thanks to Bob. Black with a medium sized diminishing tan head. Cheese and sharp green onion in the nose. Perhaps some minerals. Flavour has some roasted malt, strange fishy notes, cheesy hops, light vanilla. Medium body, soft and fluffy mouthfeel, good balance between sweet and bitter. Feels nice in the mouth but the flavour is unappealing.

Aroma: roasted dark malts, flowers, heather, citrus notes. Appearance: black color and creamy head. Taste: roasted dark malts, ashy, medium herbal bitterness, bitter chocolate, quite dry. Palate: meidum body and medium carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Ok, it an American stout. Once we fixed this I can say that this is a really nice beer.

330ml bottle from Boxbeers. BBE 03.11.16. Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth head. Aroma of grapefruit, licorice, tar, hints of roastiness, coffee and ash. Taste is smooth, fruity and slightly roasty with some licorice, ash, grapefruit, tar and pine. Finish is smooth and herbal with some hops, fruits, grass, roastiness, licorice and ash. Slightly unbalanced, but still pretty good.
