From bottle. Pours a beautiful dark brown with practically no (cappuccino) foam. Aroma is rich, with licorice and dark chocolate, maybe a little coffee. Body is surprisingly light for a beer of 10.5. Taste is a wonderful mix of sweet and bitter. You cant feel the 80 IBU, as sweetness is slightly superior in intensity. Texture is sticky and the finish is long and some slight astringency. In summary, a great beer!

Really dark brown color with mocha head. Aroma has some weird roasted/smoked/peated notes. Sweet malt in the background, old wood and some brown sugar. Taste starts with sweet, smoked malt, some burnt rubber, old wood barrel, biter finish with roasted malt and even some earthy hops. Full bodied with medium carbonation. Not bad but really weird.

33cl bottle at home. Appearance: dark with medium khaki head. Aroma: oak, vanilla, bourbon, roasted malts, red fruits, some brown sugar, coffee. Taste farily high sweetness and medium bitterness. Notes of roasted malts, peated malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, red fruits, little bit smoke, somewhat plasticy but not in a bad way. Finish is a little dry-bitter. Palate: heavy bodied, creamy texture and medium carbonation.

Blijft goed hangen. Topstuff !!!

Sampled @ omhper, thanks. Small lingering brown head. Black color. Big chocolate and caramel aroma. Sweet taste and nice roasted maltiness. Some bitterness that dont stand up to the big malty body.

Head nearly gone, black beer. Lactic, but also stoutacidity, whisky, smoked, nearly Islay-like. Sweet-ish, coffee cream, Irish coffee or Baileys (with a dash of coffee). Very thick, rich bodied, velvety texture. Nice - and strangely enough, it gives the impression of being stronger than the 16:9!
