Wow! Japan has done it! Poured a hazy yellow body over a massive and long lasting white head. Smelled of vinalla, orange peel, and lemon, some faint clove. Taste was again lemon and vinalla, hint of strawberry at the end. Quite sweet for a weissen but I loved it. Creamy and fizzy on the plaate, clean and very very refreshing. I need more!

This light brown brew has a light brown thin head with apples, spice and wheat in the nose. The body has some good apple pie character with a good amount of sweet and sour attributes, while the finish is once again sour. A well balance beer that is very interesting. Draft at Bakushu Club Popeye on March 31st. Golden hazy with nice head. Good banana aroma. This weizen has a nice smooth body with a very good sweet and acid balance. Banana play also a good role in the flavors. AceOfHearts (1374) - Mountain View, California, USA - AUG 6, 2005
Tap. Looks like your average hefe; typical banana-clove with a little extra zing and some more spice to it compared with normal. Crisp mouthfeel, a bit sugary.

Hazy golden color. Light frothy head. Aroma of bubblegum, banana, and light citrus. Sweet, wheaty flavors with a delicious candy-like bubblegum fruit flavor. Crisp and refreshing, nicely carbonated. A great hefe. MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 2, 2007

This citrusy Hefeweizen is another fine example of Hidatakayama’s propensity for quality, genuinely delighting with its banana esters, herbal hops and idiosyncratic yeastiness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A fluffy head of foam decorates the cloudy beige yellow for the duration of the glass.
-The soft, big-bubbled carbonation increases drinkability while never restraining the flavor profile.
-Some tropical fruitiness is also expressed by the weizen yeast.
-This one came in second in a Hefeweizen taste-off at Popeye’s, after Fujizakura’s masterful take on the style.
On tap at Popeye’s a few times.

Rich, thick wheat malt flavor. On the sweet side, but has a good bitter finish. Not sour at all. Crisp, but rich, with medium plus carbonation. Very nice, with lots of spice and banana. A top Japanese wheat beer. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - NOV 30, 2013
Tap at CBM Awajicho. Pale blond cloudy, small whittle fluffy head. Aroma is classic weizen, banana, clove, slight funkiness. Taste is good, nice and creamy, banana, bit of citrus, bit of bubblegum. Quite spritzy. Pretty nice.

Bottle from the brewery. Poured a lovely pale cloudy gold with billowing head. Hints of spice, vanilla. Easy on the bananas. Beautiful fine palate. A winner for mine. Thanks Acchan.
