Purely seasonal and purely delightful. This fun-loving mead appears in late fall but immediately transports wine lovers back to the very best days of summer. The unique flavor of Montana huckleberries and honey makes it easy to remember that perfect afternoon on a favorite stream or mountain trail.

Woodshed 3.0! Blue waxed 75cl bottle pours with a rosy red clear body that has wafer thin legs. The aroma is berry, some sweet honey and a touch of bees wax. The taste is thin to watery where I get berry juice, some drying notes that are tannin like as well as a red wine sensation. Thin tannic and not all that great.

Red pour. Berry flavors, something a tad artificial, dry aged some beeswax. Just ok.

Bottle, $16 at Good Earth in Billings. Pours the color of huckleberry juice, go figure, with the hazy sheen of wild honey. Nose is lightly fruity, honey, and a little vinous. Nice taste, semi dry, but mostly sweet. Good huckleberry and honey flavors.

750 ml bottle labelled as "Yellowstone" instead of "Trapper Creek" but is the same in all other respects. I picked this up in one of the General Stores in Yellowstone. Pours a clear red with no head. This is a still mead. Pleasant aroma of huckleberries and honey. The flavor begins with huckleberries and transitions to the honey ending with some honey sweetness that lingers on the palate. The sweetness is not heavy and in no way cloying. Medium bodied. Nice mead.

Purchased a bottle at Jackson Wyoming (honeymoon). Light clear blood red. Aromas of honey, huckleberry, and sweetness. Flavors of light to medium alcohol, fruity huckleberry, sweet honey. Medium to high sweet character. Slight aftertaste. Delicious. My first mead!

750, corked and waxed. Thanks, Adam! These are all really solid. Pours a crystal clear medium purple. Tart and tangy nose, nice combination of tart fruits and sweet honey. Creamy medium body. Acidity doesn’t really come through on the mid palate, but it’s a little more watery than the other meads. Nice blend of tartness and honey on the tongue.

Thanks to askofficerfriendly for the share. Wow. A viking-looking mead with huckleberries? Sign me up. Pours a still chablis/ blush pink. Nose is tart cherry, berry, unripe plums, and earthy fruit. Flavor is similar with earthy berries and hints of tart fruit. Light to medium-bodied and not as serious as the label makes it out to be.

Pours a reddish hue nice and thick. Herbs with lots of wine notes. The flavor is well not good. The honey flavor is totally gone. The flavor is floral with a strange alcohol flavor. I love mead, but this one is not for me.
