Takeout tap at CBM Koenji. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates quickly. Light grainy malt nose with clean and fresh citrus zest with a touch of tangerine. Fruit is well-integrated. Nice clean grain-forward flavors on the palate with a rush of tangerine and hyuganatsu that shine. Easy drinking, with the finish being zesty and refreshing. Not cloying or overly sweet at all. melush (5221) - SPAIN - MAY 23, 2016

330ml bottle bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.
Cloudy hazy light straw honey colour with fine mist of yeast particles; Less than one-quarter finger head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 15 seconds; Fair sticky lacing and minimal carbonation; Slightly pungent aroma of lager malt, with strong pomelo, grapefruit, lemonade, sugar, light yeast and faint grass; Close to light sweet taste of fairly light malt, with very light grapefruit and kumquat, light tangerines, sugar notes, yeast, light lemon, and light bitter grassy hops; Light body. Thin and slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is light malt in a fairly crisp body. Thin and fairly low sweet tangy citrus - grapefruit, tangerine and kumquat - dominates. Has feel of lemon soda but balanced by good malts and grassy hops. Light yeasty and more hops than other Hideji fruit beers. Good!… Hoppiness is almost no nose, light lemon and light grass taste. Bitterness is low but obvious for a fairly grassy, lasting low astringent sweet-bitter finish; Slightly dry after taste. Crisp and citrusy to mouth.
Comments: This one packs more punches than the low-fi Kinkan Lager, with lively and tasty Hyuganatsu (a cross between yuzu and pomelo) for nice, fairly strong citrusy fusion with light lager. Very refreshing and fruity. Will buy again!
Bottle in Hongkong. Fresh sourish nose. The beer starts fresh with hints of lemon, bitter mainpart, fresh, easy to drink. Nice bitter lemon aftertaste, hints of yeast, smooth, fresh, not bad. biirusaikou (2705) - - MAY 12, 2015
Draught at CBM Koenji. Rich mikan flavor with a classic lager backend, fairly clean finish. Simple but very quaffable, probably would be great in summertime.

Golden color, small white head. Citrusy, orange peel aroma. Light-bodied. Citrus, lime peels, honeyish maltyness in the flavor. Simple and refreshing. GenkiGonzo (1096) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 19, 2014
Bottle from Vivre supermarket. Cloudy straw colour, thin head. Very fresh lemon aroma. Nice bitter and refreshing taste. Fantastic summer drink. KansaiBeerLvrs (5610) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 14, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2014 Draft. 650 yen for a half-pint at Qbrick. 5% a clear straw gold pour with a mild lemon aroma. The taste is like a lemonade alcopop, a lemon lager for summer. Nice but not as smooth as it could be. Ok. -------- named Miyazaki no Minori Hyuganatsu part of the Miyazaki Agriculture Support Project. 5% Bottle from Aeon Mall Kyoto, 514 yen incl. tax. Another incredibly pale opaque star gold pour with a thick fizzy white head though this one seems to leave more lacing and foam behind. Tons of citrus hyuganatsu notes and a good dose of zest in the aroma. The mouthfeel is a bit rough, sharp carbonation. The taste is pretty pithy with lots of sour/bitter citrus quite a strong flavor. I think I like the aroma on the hyuganatsu more but the taste of the kinkan better. Still it is ok, though more of a fruit seltzer cocktail than a very beer like beverage. Draught at Qbrick. Lemony, zesty aroma. Very cloudy, light honey color. Heavy citrusy initial / mild bittering emerges in mid / finish is clean and refreshing. Thin, and a bit spritzy. Good. Light and flavorful. Would be wonderful in the summer.
