On tap at hideout, aroma of roasted malts and chocolate, a similar taste which is maybe slightly thin, but I enjoyed this!
Pours dark black. Very strong coffee aroma and taste. Only hints of hazelnut. Malts hit the back of your throat. Tap at brewery. dm9831 (1512) - Monee, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2011

On nitro at The Hideout Brewpub. Black with brown low-lights and a creamy lasting brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, lake water and mild chocolate. Taste is smooth and creamy with roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and mild bitterness. patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 14, 2011
nitro tap at the brewpub last summer - Pours near black with a lasting light tan head. It smells of chocolate malt. The flavor is roast chocolate malt with a touch of bitterness. The nitro gives the expected creamy mouthfeel for this medium bodied beer. I liked it.

On tap at brewpub. Thin black appearance with tan nitrogen head. What would have been a solid brew instead came out watered down in nearly every category, including mouthfeel. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - SEP 2, 2010
On tap at the brewpub, poured on nitro, has a very dark color with a thick creamy head, aroma is of roasted malt and a hint of chocolate, the taste is very creamy and malty, enjoyable. strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - JAN 4, 2010
very solid beer on nitro, excellent pour and appearance. Light overall flavor. Solid stout for those not wanting anything too heavy. holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 4, 2009
On tap at the brewery pours a dark brown almost black color with a creamy tan head from the nitro. Light chocolate, roast, and touch of coffee in the aroma. Sweet malt flavors chocolate that’s smooth from the nitro. Lingering sweetness, kinda weak but ok. xnoxhatex (1305) - Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA - JUL 14, 2009
On nitro at the brewery. Dark brown with creamy, beige head. Aroma is slightly stinky but roasty, all very light. Medium sweet roasty flavor with slight chalk, chocolate, and smoke. Light body and watery. Not their best stout but good enough.
