On tap at brewpub, pours a very dark color with a thin tan head, the aroma explodes with coffee and sweet malt, the taste has a great hazelnut flavor mixed in with coffee, this was the best brew that we had at The Hideout! LilBeerDoctor (3931) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 27, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and a light coffee presence. Flavor of hazelnut, sweet roasted malt, and vanilla. A creamy coffee stout that is on the sweet side but overall I enjoyed it.

Simply the best that the Hideout has to offer, If your’e in Western Michigan, get your ass to the Hideout to try this one. You will not be disappointed. Don’t drink too much. It goes down easily. Don’t listen to all the other pretentious assholes that are on this site, If you want a good beer, try this one. If you don’t like it. You’re a douche bag. holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 4, 2009
On tap at the brewery Pours dark brown almost black with a tan creamy head. The aroma leads in the flavor which is full of rich hazlenut coffee but it becomes cheap as it warms up. From a nice cafe that’s interesting and inviting to coffee at the truck stop in the middle of the night with hazlenut creamer stirred in. xnoxhatex (1305) - Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA - MAY 5, 2009

Draft sample at MBG Winterfest 2009.
Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate roasted coffee, chocolate and nutty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where met with a solid drinkable beer. WakeandBake (549) - Greenville, Michigan, USA - JAN 19, 2009
Draft at Brew HaHa . A dark brown to black color with a medium fluffy tan head.Aroma of hazelnut coffee and vanilla . Flavor of sweet dark roasted hazelnut coffee and some dark chocolate.Just enough carbonation for a smooth creamy mouthfeel, a hint at bitterness on the finish. A solid offering, and I would love a growler of this stuff. bigtaster (979) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 13, 2008
Nitro at the brewpub. Black with brown head. String coffee aroma with a hint of chocolate. Flavor contains obvious hazelnut with quality malt sweetness and enough bitterness to suffice. Drinkable and very enjoyable. Rogueone (506) - I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA - MAY 19, 2008
Draft @ brewpub: This is definitely the standout here. Aroma is very fragrant of hazlenut, almost overpoweringly so. Flavor is roasted coffee and hazelnuts. Sweet, fragrant finish. Minimal to non-existent hop profile. milewide (2250) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 25, 2007
On tap. Hazelhut flavoring is main aroma and flavor. Owner, Laura, gave me sample of both nitro and CO2. Nitro was much more creamy with small bubbles in head. CO2 had big bubble head---but much more flavor as Laura promised. I liked CO2 better!
