Bomber. Date and raisin aroma with notes of tart cherry and candi sugar sweetness. Pours cloudy caramel colored with a thin tan head that has no retention or lacing. Starts with sweet dark fruit and candi sugar sweetness with a thin body and watery mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with caramel malt and slight cherry tartness. Decent, but thin body and mouthfeel for the style. dwyerpg (6410) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - DEC 27, 2015
Just slightly more drinkable than the original. It adds sweet cherries to the already sweet syrupy base. Did not enjoy. ajnepple (7054) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 14, 2013
On tap at the Rackhouse Pub. Deep reddish plum color with a small head. Dark fruit, Belgian yeast, sugar, caramel and cherries. Full body, a little alcohol towards the finish. Pretty smooth. BeerandBlues2 (13810) - Escondido, California, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Tap at Colorado Plus. Pours clear tawny with a small, frothy off-white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is caramel and cookie malt, cherry/stone fruit, alcohol and earthy hops with Belgian yeast character. Flavor is fruity esters, honey and cookie malt, light hops and bitterness, cherries and a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation. cubs (10714) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Tap @ High Hops. Pours a fairly clear, dark reddish orange appearance with a light brown head. Sweet candy sugar, caramel, cherry fruity, light toffee aroma. A bit strong, dark candy sugar, fairly dark fruity, plum flavor that dries out a fair amount on the finish. Pretty good but I’m not sure it’s an improvement on The Noble One.
