Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had a great dose of citrusy and piney hops, sweet and bitter with a nice malt base trying to coincide nicely.
The flavor leaned into the sweetness of the hops and blended fairly nice in this department. Nice little hoppy aftertaste without the burn and reflected in the finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and the ABV felt appropriate as directed by the brewer.
Overall, pretty nicely done AIPA. I’d go at this one again. UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - OCT 10, 2016
Copper hue, clear, thin soapy head that leaves no lacing and dissipates quickly. Plenty of pine and resin, moderate bitterness. Medium body. Decent. jmikolich (1486) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - OCT 9, 2014
Wow this is surprising, from a little tiny brewery I’ve never heard of, a nice juicy citrusey hop bomb that its only tiny flaw would be the balance of hops, if this had some different balance of varietals it could get even better. still this was amazing first shot an production IPA rweingarten (46) - Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 8, 2014
This beer is wicked happy and the light pour was surprising with the tangerine aroma. The taste was hoppy which blocked some of the booziness nulptr (114) - SCOTLAND - JUN 6, 2014
keg at brewery, 3 june 2014 (part of taster flight). it’s a hop bomb all right. IBUs through the roof in the modern American style. but balanced with a nice sweetness that’s not too cloying and crucially not too malty! grapefruit, papaya dominate with hints of lemon and honey? not a lot of body for the ABV. a very good entry into the range of xxxtreme IPAs.

Pours clearer tangerine with a decent beige head. Aroma brings sweet pleasant citrus hops. Flavor is similar to the nose bringing smooth and sweet orange and tangerine flavored hops with and zesty earthy green profile and lingering juicy ending on the tongue. Keg at the brewpub - Amherst. Pours clear gold with a creamy cap. Dried lemon in the nose, some flowers. Medium sweet flavor with grassy and floral bitterness, dried pale malts, dandelion. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Resinous to finish, more grass and pale pine, grapefruit and lemon rind. Nice. BroSpud (2303) - , Massachusetts, USA - SEP 1, 2013
On draft at the restaurant. Included in part of a sampler. All the beers tasted were OK with no off flavors or big misses but nothing really great either. johnnnniee (4459) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 17, 2013
On tap at the brew pub.
Comes to the table a clear light gold color with a decent sized off white head. Smells of resinous pine and bits of citric fruit. Very light bready malt almost pokes through. The flavor is spicy resinous dank hop with a huge pithy grapefruit bite. Medium body with a moderate amount of carbonation and a sharp resinous bitter mouthfeel. Decent beer, but the hops come off a bit harsh at times.
