On cask at the brewery, pours a lightly hazy orange with some creamy white head. Nose has orange, yeast and mild spices. Flavor has orange, mild grist, some spice, a little black tea. Finishes a touch oily. Travlr (24897) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 27, 2016
Cask at the source. Clear golden color, white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of peppery straw. Taste has subtle black pepper and straw. jjsint (3110) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2015
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2016 Bottle from Arkwright’s Off Licence, Haltwhistle. Light golden brown, seems to be slightly hazy. More carbonation than I was expecting. Light fruity, earthy and malty aroma. Tastes of crystal malt with artificial caramel, hint of citrus on the finish. Decent palate. There isn’t a lot wrong with this this - it’s a decent enough ale - but it’s fairly boring. Cask gravity at Berry Walmer. Hazy copper colour no head. Cant say it looks particularly good but it tastes ok. Some hop on the finish. Ok downender (8660) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2012
On gravity at Swindon Beer Festival, 25/10/2012. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Some orange fruit, cereal malts and a touch of floral hop, before a decent, bitter finish. Fine. dogbomb (1217) - ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2012
On tap at White Cross Inn Beer Festival. Rich copper with a white head. There’s an odd vinegar scent coming from this which is sharp and mildly unpleasant. Thankfully the mouth taste isn’t the same. There’s a hint of eggs and malt. Not as unpleasant with it’s bitter malt finish - but just bizarre.
6/11/11/12/7/12

Cask conditioned at The Olde Ship, Seahouses, Northumberland. Amber with white head. This is a really tasty session type beer, fresh, biscuity malts with a nicely balanced leafy hop, a touch of fruitiness and just a hint of roasiness. I liked this quite a lot.
