Beer of the Gods is a refreshing German-style beer that could never happen in Germany – as easy to drink as the best Kölsch but as hoppy and satisfying as a supreme Altbier. And the best news? At only 4.5%, it won’t keep you from doing the important things in life. Sure, we know that those well-endowed beers will get all the press, but, just once, how about some props for the little guy?

Malts: German Pilsner and Wheat malts
Hops: German Perle, Tettnang, and Hersbrucker
Available in 22 ounce bottles and in kegs.

A very nice lower-octane pale ale. Had it on draft and it is nicely hopped with some citrus and pine.

A truly humble name. Draft. Cloudy thin yellow, white edge head. Aroma of white pepper, subtle lemon. Taste is bitter pepper.

GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Tap at CK thanks to Travlr. Pours a clear golden. Nose is noble hops and melon. Thick biscuit. Mmm. Taste is thicker, bitter, buttery, heavy biscuit. Earthy and peppery. Really nice. Comes across as a pilsener.

JulienHuxley (5909) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 21, 2012
On tap at Churchkey. Clear gold pour, white head and spotty lacing. Very leafy aroma, peppery german hop, a bit of diacetyl. Taste is good, a bit grainy , peppery hop finish. A little bit intense both in aroma and taste. Props for the little guy some other time.

HopfenWeisse (1558) - - AUG 2, 2012
From old backlog(500ml bottle). Nice golden colour with medium head. Aroma is malt, hops. Flavour is the same as aroma.

Bottle shared with Linh. Pours a light orange body with light haze and thick white lacing. Aroma is light light wheaty malts. Mouthfeel is lightly bitter, dry hops, pils, wheat, light lemon and grass.

500ml bottle. Named with just a slight overstatement! Not a bad real ale with a nod to German lagers. I wouldnt rush out and buy this again but it was quite moorish. I believe it’s bottle conditioned which would explain some others saying it was coudy!!!

BroSpud (2233) - , Massachusetts, USA - JUN 13, 2012
12oz bottle. Pours a cloudy golden with a white head. Fairly decent ale with a low abv. Nothing spectacular but crisp and refreshing.and quite drinkable.

TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 8, 2012
Multiple bottles at Sean and Caitlin’s wedding reception. Fuck yes. What a great beer for a reception--only wish there was more of it. Nice fresh and crisp golden ale, some mild grassy notes, light bready malts, crisp, dry finish. Lovely.

flatmatt (1604) - Northville, Michigan, USA - JUN 5, 2012
12 oz bottle. Pours straw-colored, hazy, with a white head. Earthy hop and pilsner malt aroma. Hoppy herbal, earthy, pine, lemon/orange citrus hop flavors, pilsner malt. Nice bitterness. Surprisingly good, really.
