A bit of smoke ash in aroma. Toast in taste. Only the slightest hint of sourness in finish. From Premier Gourmet. Opaque black. Big mocha lacing. Blade86 (1397) - Wroc³aw, POLAND - OCT 1, 2015
black, opaque, medium beige foam; coffee, rather cocoa than chocolate, some woody and alcohol (good alcohol) notes; medium bitterness and sweetness; fullish body, thick sticky feel, average- carbonation, long chocolateish finish;
Overall: very complex, great aroma, without a flaw slowrunner77 (12451) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUN 29, 2015
Cool rendition of a cool beer. I can’t say I like it better than the regular old oak aged as the nose and complexity on that were great, but this is more of a sweet decadent treat...complex in its own right but more because of the barrels than the beer. jb (3301) - Rochester, New York, USA - OCT 17, 2014
On tap at stoneyard in Brockport NY. Starts weird, with a bunch of mint leaves ground up and dominating everything. As it warms more of the natural Porter and Bourbon flavors shine through. Interesting. Decent. Prefer a traditional Nordic baltic though. pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 30, 2014
On tap at Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY. Nice. A lot milder than more mellow than I was expecting for something billed as a baltic porter. I didn’t really get much of the barrel to be honest, not much in the classic vanilla oak whiskey flavor. Really just a nice smooth porter.

650 ml bottle. Dark brown with off white head. Very pleasant with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, well hidden alcohol, roasted notes and medium high sweetness. Nice! AgentSteve (1647) - SF Bay Area, California, USA - JAN 17, 2012
Pours deep brown with a dark tan head. Full chocolate, oak, dried fruit and vanilla nose and flavor. Dry finish. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - JAN 1, 2012
Tasted at the 6th Annual Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Fest on 11/12/2011. This Baltic porter pours a dark black color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee, wood and bourbon. A medium bodied Baltic Porter. The malts are chocolate, coffee, with some dark fruit. The hops are earthy and herbal. Touch of wood and bourbon. Nice carbonation. The roastyness last throughout the taste. Some fruit at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. bb (9657) - Alamo, California, USA - DEC 2, 2011

On draft at the Bistro Barrel fest. Top five of the night IMO. It pours dark with a tan head. The aroma is full with sweet cocoa, caramel and wood. The flavor is nice with vanilla, wood, roasted malt and chocolate. Very nice on the palate with good mouthfeel. Excellent beer.
