COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blind Spot - Dark Specialty Ale: Blind Spot is ideal for the colder months, but perfectly enjoyable any time of the year. Fermented with a traditional English yeast. Wonderfully robust, full-bodied with a rich and warming finish. We have added a light dosing of dried ginger, cardamon, grain of paradise and star anise to the whirpool for some enjoyable spicing.

Barwa: ciemna, wręcz nieprzejrzysta (pod światło rubinowa). Piana kremowa, drobno pęcherzykowa, znikoma i szybko opadająca. Aromat: alkohol, owoce suszone, wino jabłkkowe, potem ciemne słody i czekolada.

Bottle @ 2nd Tuesday Tasting. Pours a brownish, reddish beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma of coffee, licorice and cloves. Slight herbal. Flavor is medium sweet with touches of laurel and very faint touches of chocolate in the background. A bit unbalanced to the herbal side, but that’s the style I guess. Slight sour taste in the background. Quite a decent beer!

Bottle, Craft Clapham, with Liz, Simon & Ang on Friday 17th January 2014 Pale gold, very American IPA nose but this is a DIPA I note. Sweet malt and big hops, liking this it is enjoyable. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

650ml bottle. Dark brown/black pour with large head. Aroma is earthy roast, cocoa, ginger, chili. Tastes malty with lots of liquorice, cardamom, blackberry, mint. Thick mouthfeel. It’s a bit unusual, so I can see why people might not like it, but it won me over sufficiently.

65 cl bottle.
Pours dark mahogany color with a large off-white head. Aroma is spicy and malty, some fruity notes with caramel and wood. Flavor has caramel malts, lots of spices, orange, distant pumpkin notes, mild wooden notes and yeast. Medium carbonation, full-bodied. Mildly bitter malty palate with a spicy kick. Decent.

Sampled from bottle @ monthly De Molen tasting. Opaque pitch black color, small light brown head. Aroma has a lot of herbs or spices. Not my thing at all. Taste also has those herbs or spices, with sojasaus and other weird food. I’m pretty sure Dutchdrebus would taste Chinese food in this. Medium body and carbonation. Not my thing at all.
