The aroma is fruity and sweet, cherry, bretty, chocolate and a touch of wood. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet, some cherry. A little funk, a little wood and some chocolate. The hops are herbal and earthy. Lively carbonation. Some tartness and some funk. Touch of wood and some brett. Kind of a new born sour. I would really like to try this one again with about 6 more months aging. Nice fruitiness with a dry finish. Easy drinking beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - AUG 27, 2011
On tap at Beer Revolution. It pours a dark reddish orange with no head. The aroma is cherries, wheat, vanilla, chocolate and spicy Belgian yeast. Interesting flavor with cherries, raspberries, and a dark chocolaty bitterness coming in late with vanilla in the finish. The light tartness from the fruit clashes a bit with the chocolate. Fairly light bodied and spritzy with some spicy yeast throughout. A little weird, but well executed.
