COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Logic Imperial IPA is brewed for the true hop head. The nose bursts with fresh hop aromas while the palate is balanced with just enough bitterness to linger without overwhelming the more subtle among the hops flavors. The winning equation is five quality malts plus five flavorful hops equals one fine beer! Sounds logical to us.

On the patio with Josh, Zach and Audrie, pours a rusty cooper orange color with a beige head . Nose is deep sweet citrus, with softer pine and resin. Taste is bittersweet, hoppy with citrus, and deeper pine and hard resin. Finishes on the same tasting notes with a moderately long bitter finish ! Quaff Score 7 / 10

Bomber poured a hazy amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, mint, lemon zest and light floral notes. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, earthiness, light pine and a hint of citrus with a smooth dry moderately bitter finish.

22oz bomber pours with a slightly hop hazed deep gold body that supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up resiny sappy pine hops, some mild malty sweetness and just noticeable citrusy sort of tropical fruity hoppiness. The taste starts with a blast of resiny pine hop bitterness grounded in an adequate layer of malty sweetness. To midway it picks up a thin layer of juicy mango and clementine citrus hops before the resiny nearly brash pine hops take over and ride into the finish rimmed thinly by some boozy notes. This is a fine bold nearly brash IIPA that is scratching me where Im itching at the moment. If you want a soft timid juicy IIPA look elsewhere as this one has a bit of old school teeth to it. GODDAMN!! YES! Ill take more of this anytime.

650ml bottle. Hazy, dark orangey, deep golden colour with average to huge, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Malty aroma with notes of almond, marzipan, hints of flavoured sugar powder, a minimally sweaty resinous touch, hints of (candied) lemon zest. Taste is initially citrusy hoppy, hints of lemon and lemon zest, slightly sweet malty background with almond and marzipan touch turns into papery, neutral cardboard and reaches almost a vacuum in the last third, just some lemon flavours can survive. Not the freshest specimen, I must admit.

A little excited to meet me as the cap came off. A swift spurt of foam so into a chalice it went. First pour produced up a brilliant orange amber beer, almost still, with a sudsy, just off-white foam. Fresh mown grass, bitter green herbs, pine wood, soft spicy phenols, sticky marmalade, camphor, fresh toasted white bread, pumpernickel - the nose has lot going on! Boozy, heated palate with a sherryish, vinous and fruity backdrop. Im guessing this sample is a little over drink-by as this is more barley wine than IIPA. Tangy, sweet marmalade and nutty, chewy malts fill the mid-palate. Bready with a scorched fruit finish. Strange all round really. (1 pint 6fl.Oz, no date stamp, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
