The aroma is of course fruity with the Pomegranate coming out more than anything else. Honestly it was kind of hard to find any cherry in it. Mixed in their was a nice spiciness from what seemed to be Belgian Yeast and some tartness thrown in there. It’s pretty much the same with the taste. The cherry might come out a little bit more here but the Pomegranate still reigns supreme. I would love to know the amounts used for both fruits. There’s some spices in there but the yeast does more than it does in the smell, a more yeasty taste comes out with a nice tartness. It’s nicely carbonated and it smacks the lips.

I think I got a bottle that was a little past it’s prime, because it was neither a pomegranate or cherry bomb, nor a pom/cherry bomb. Aroma is lightly spicy with a light fruity character that I could not pinpoint as to either cherry or pomegranate. The flavor of this beer was equally as ambiguous as the aroma...some light fruit, a smidge of Belgian-like spice notes and a showing of light tartness that kept it interesting. Bottle purchased at Liquor Barn in Redding, CA on 8/31/2012 at High Water Brewing’s beer tasting. APPEARANCE / THE POUR: Pours a gold / slight orangey color, nice 2-finger fluffy head with big bubbles. Looks like a saison in the inital pour. AROMA / BOUQUET: Deep fruit, almost a mustiness. Pomegranate is the forefront smell, with a cherry pit smell in the background. Very slight brett funk. TASTE: Tart, pom sourness, in my opinion, not as tart as I would like, but still refreshing. To me, it reminds me of a slight taste of sourdough bread. PALATE / MOUTHFEEL: This is the part of the beer that would benefit from more development. I would suggest some brett yeast to give it a nice tart, astringent kick. It’s a bit soft for me. OVERALL: A good beer to introduce people new to tart, sour summer fruit beers. This will be a great beer with more time and development.

22oz bottle. Rating #25. Hazy orangish/red pour with a real pretty light rose head. Light fruity aroma, picking up more apple or grape than pom, but there is some cherry action going on. Taster at DBS. Aroma was Pom, slight funk, and slight spice. Flavor was Pom lambic, Belgian yeast, and was tart like there was brett added. I really enjoyed this one. Very good, very drinkable beer.

Huge foamy head! Clean dark yellow/light orange body. Big bubbles in center of glass. Sour-like aroma of tangerines. Pronounced sour flavor. Would be an interesting pairing with a sharp stinky cheese, such as limberger or lederkrantz.
