22 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Raleigh (Brier Creek location). Muddy brownish-orange pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of apricot, fig, brown sugar, and peach syrup. The flavors feature tangerine and peach upfront with some malty sweetness and a hint of oak on the finish. The mouthfeel is a bit thin considering what this is but the moderate alcohol warmth is just as expected. I would have liked a bit more sweetness to go with the general fruitiness in the flavor but overall this is a fine old ale. travita (5008) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 13, 2010
The smell is wood, fruits, malts, hops, pine, and caramel. The look is amber to red in color with no head. The taste is alcohol, malts, hops, pine, and caramel. jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAR 10, 2010

Deep copper pour with light tan head and lace. Caramel and bread on the nose. Chicory, sweet malt, caramel and an almost EKG hop flavor. Medium bodied with good carbonation. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 10, 2010
22 oz bottle. Hazy brown with some beige froth. Nose is dates, figs, caramel and a touch of citrus. Thick and resiny with buzzy carb. Taste is cherry, blackberry and toffee but not overly sweet. Dry woody finish with an earthy, pithy bitterness. Creative brew, i rather liked it.

Bottle. Pours a mahogany body with a white head. Dark fruity malt tones, nutty with a light roast y body. Creamy and chewy with a modest warming. Roasted malt with a mild woody and pine tone to round this ale out. Decent. RCL (2032) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 6, 2010
Nice aroma of dates and sugar plums. Flavor seems drier than the aroma would suggest. Hints of leather and wood. Solid. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 4, 2010
Draft sample @ Brewvival on 2/27/10. deep red pour with an off white head... English hop notes... deep body with dark fruit... sweet malt body... strong finish. Very enjoyable and would make for a nice after dinner sipper. drowland (9184) - Georgia, USA - MAR 4, 2010
Bomber courtesy of emacgee. The aroma is dead on old ale with caramel and esters. The flavor is pretty good too with the same and a hint of age too... nice stuff. Perhaps a bit carbonated for the style. j12601 (13297) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - FEB 28, 2010
Bottle at Ryan’s hotel room tasting after session one of EBF in Boston. Pours a hazy light brown with a thin white head. Vinyl, plastic, smells like a kiddy pool. Tastes like it smells, gross oxidized, and full of plastic. Bitter finish.
