Highland’s most robust beer, having a very malty body with a large, roasted chocolate flavor. It is black in color with a very clean finish and a moderate hop flavor.

Bottle. Pours a black color with off white head. Burnt, roasty, malty aromas. Roasty, charred, slight chalk, malty, slight coffee flavors. I was expecting a little more coffee in this beer. Overall, solid, full bodied dark beer. Nothing specifically stands out, but its an enjoyable stout.

This is a very dark beer that is good on cold nights. Has a distinct coffee taste. Good aroma and a creamy head. Nice palate with great overall taste. Well done.

Black, clear beer with a one finger high, beige-brown head. Nose: Coffee, tobacco, roasted malt, dark chocolate, malt and dried fruit. Taste: Coffe beans, red berries, dark chocolate, roasted malt and hay. Body: Medium to full body with light carbonation. Great stout!

Bottle poured into pint glass - dark black with a finger of a tan frothy head. Strong coffee and chocolate malt aromas. The taste starts out bitter (roasted coffee) and balances with a sweeter hint of dark chocolate. More a porter than a stout, but overall very good.

A decent stout highland chocolatey and smokey start with a slight bitter finish. Similar to an oatmeal stout. Pours deep brown in cmy mor with a tan head ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Some stouts have too much coffee and some have too much chocolate. This has just the right dose of both (meaning slight and balanced instead of overwhelming). Beautiful lacing in a pint glass here at a fake Irish pub outside of Nashville. Not a nitro for smooth carbonation - that would have made it 100.

Aroma is cocoa and vanilla. Taste is milky creamy and rich. Cocoa chocolate and silky. Delicious beer. Deserves the high ratings it has. 12oz bottle at Cedrics at the Biltmore house

Bottle. Pours deep, dark brown with creamy tan head. Aroma is milk chocolate, light roast, faint espresso, light earthiness, and faint dark fruit notes. Flavor is dry roast malts, cocoa, light hops, milk chocolate sweetness, and faint bitterness; creamy with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.
