2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a dark brown with ruby/burgundy notes under light. One finger tan to beige head with moderate retention, pretty solid lacing. Aroma is very Porterish, roasty, little alcohol, not much chocolate, some coffee notes.
More coffee on the palette, little more chocolate, now we get the Mocha. Medium body/mouth feel, reminiscent of a black Lager in texture, stronger roasted coffee in the long wet finish. Not as stout as I prefer a stout to be, seems more along the lines in general of a black lager with heavier coffee influence, but highly drinkable.
On tap at Craft Brewed, pours a deep dark brown / black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of cocoa upfront, with a touch of coffee. Flavour is fairly chocolatey, with light coffee undertones. Dry palate, with a lightly sweet and cocoa-y finish. Nicely made. willisread (3811) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 25, 2017
Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a pitch black with a finger of beige head that lingers. Lots of bakers chocolate in the nose, faint coffee notes. Well balanced. Dryish finish with lingering cacao and coffee. Well made. arn8897 (455) - Trenton, Ohio, USA - NOV 4, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2017 Pours a deep brown to black khaki head. Aromas of malt and chocolate. Taste the same very smooth and malty. Nice beer. Light to medium mouthfeel. Bacchus66 (1006) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 16, 2017
12oz bottle. Pours thick dark brown with a full tan head. Lots of roasted and chocolate notes, flavors the same featuring dark malts, coffee, chocolate. Nice thick texture and a delicious chocolate, roasty finish. Very nice. HourGlass13 (1101) - North Carolina, USA - APR 15, 2017
Pours up dark black, with a practically non existent tan head. Aroma was coffee and malts. Flavor matched the smell, coffee and chocolate with almost no hops coming through at all. Enjoyable, I would buy this again.

On tap at Tapworks. A good chocolate coffee stout whose aroma is matched by its flavor. Solid and always a good choice but there are some excellent beers in this profile. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 5, 2016
Pours a very dark brown color with khaki colored head. Roasted malt, chocolate, and some caramel sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with a lot of roasted malt flavors. A solid stout. weitz15 (622) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 18, 2016
Thick oily pour with a medium creamy tan head. Robust roasted malts accompanied by a medium toffee flavor. The aroma just isn’t there to match the flavors in this brew. Overall, enjoyable roasted stout. solidfunk (9739) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - AUG 13, 2016
Light roast and some coffee and light cream. Some caramel. Decent tangy finish. Decent balance. Bottle. partchapol (143) - Ohio, USA - JUL 16, 2016
One of good Highland beers. Smell of chocolate, coffee. Taste of bitter stout, cofee, dark, medium body, somewhat slimy texture. Good one.
