Bottle. Poured black with a creamy light brown head that lasted throughout and had excellent lacing. The aroma was of burnt chocolate malts, a leathery yeast and a moderate does of hops with a strong coffee and dark chocolate note with just a hint of molasses. It tasted moderatly bitter with a note of coffee in the beginning and then progressed into a mild bitter chocolate-coffee flavor with a nice hoppiness at the finish. Mouthfeel was full in body and creamy in texture with a nice soft carbonation. Overall a nice, smooth and hoppy chocolate stout, a nice change up from the norm.

12oz bottle. Pours thick dark brown with a full tan head. Lots of roasted and chocolate notes, flavors the same featuring dark malts, coffee, chocolate. Nice thick texture and a delicious chocolate, roasty finish. Very nice.

Pours up dark black, with a practically non existent tan head. Aroma was coffee and malts. Flavor matched the smell, coffee and chocolate with almost no hops coming through at all. Enjoyable, I would buy this again.

On tap at Tapworks. A good chocolate coffee stout whose aroma is matched by its flavor. Solid and always a good choice but there are some excellent beers in this profile.

Pours a very dark brown color with khaki colored head. Roasted malt, chocolate, and some caramel sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with a lot of roasted malt flavors. A solid stout.

Thick oily pour with a medium creamy tan head. Robust roasted malts accompanied by a medium toffee flavor. The aroma just isn’t there to match the flavors in this brew. Overall, enjoyable roasted stout.

One of good Highland beers. Smell of chocolate, coffee. Taste of bitter stout, cofee, dark, medium body, somewhat slimy texture. Good one.

A hearty stout, with notes of chocolate, coffee, toffee. Full, rich. Great in summer or winter. Goes well with just about any meal or solo.

12 ounce bottle purchased at Outer Banks grocery. Chocolate, roasted coffee flavor. Very little bitterness aftertaste. Medium body, one quarter inch tan head with a little lacing. Very pleasant and drinkable stout, one of their better offerings.
