Clawhammer Oktoberfest is a lightly colored, but toasty, rich and full bodied Marzen style lager, brewed with traditional German malt and the finest noble hops. A spicy hop finish and aroma balance out the abundance of malt flavor. Clawhammer means pure high-country enjoyment!

Pretty solid marzen. Copper colored. Sweet caramel and toffee aroma. Some spicy hops come through in taste, but dominated but sweet and bready malts. Easy drinking.

Poured from bottle into shaker. Pours a very light orange with a 2 finger head. Head dissipates to a thin skim fairly quickly. Aroma - light aroma, but malt and spicy hops present. Taste is very malty, no real hop character. One note really, lots of caramel and toffee notes.

Brown pour with minimal head. Toast, malt, bread, caramel. Generally sweet. Big body, slam able. Everything a marzen should be.

Pours a crystal clear autumn color with a decent head which dissipates fairly quick. Aroma is a rich malt note with some weak caramelized brown sugar or molasses. Taste is malty, bready, almost a weak holiday spice note from the carbonation playing on the tongue. Overall a great drinkable beer, killed my whole first one in about 5 minutes.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt and floral hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks solid; a mostly transparent golden orange with foamy eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of mild caramel and very soft hops. Tastes like it smells with some biscuit as well. Average on the palate. A decent no-frills example of the style.

A bit blah. Looked way better than it tasted. Pours a really nice color for a lager- clear amber with nice white head. Nuttiness and malt on the nose- same on palate with the addition of a bitter finish. About the right mouthfeel for a lager- feels more summer-y than an octoberfest beer should. Just not that much to it- want a bit more barley and hops and a bit less water in my brews.

Clear amber. Nice nutty malt. Slightly acidic finish that I wish was a little less aggressive.

Not much aroma with this one. Very mild and light. Some subtle toasted notes of almond bread and malt. Good light beer.

Not much flavor or nose. Horrible Octoberfest. Not very malty not very enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
