Malty, sweet, bready- slight earthy/nuttiness to it. Goes down smooth tho. Pretty darn good, I would down a 750 with glee. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 7, 2010
A-pours a light golden amber color, completely transparent with a thin off white head.
S-sweet caramel malts up front as an earthy bready malt takes over, notes of metallic phenol lie in front of a spicy herbal hop character.
T-caramel and bready malts, thick malt body up front, phenols stronger in the taste, a little metallic, crisp spicy herbal hops with light bitterness in the finish.
M-medium to full body, thick and slightly stick malt body are rather present with a crisp semi dry finish.
D-relatively drinkable with bold malt flavors and well balanced hop presence. good feel to it with a hint of phenol that does seem to detract from the overall taste and aroma. BeerHawk (1810) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - OCT 21, 2008
Sampled at the 2008 Knoxville Brewers’ Jam. Orange in the glass with a thin white ring for a head. Caramel malts in the aroma. The flavor finds a mix of grains and caramel. Medium plus body and sweet upfront with a slight bitter ending. tnkw01 (1756) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Bottle. Another great beer for Highland. Pours an dark orange-amber-copper color with a decent head and great lace.. Taste is more floral-hops then most marzen style beers. Aroma is a malty, spicy, floral with slight nuts. Good stuff. AndyW68 (1557) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - OCT 6, 2013
Clear orange pour with thin white head. Aroma is stale malt. taste is grainy. Watery mouthfeel with a little oil.

Amber/gold. Off white head. Toasty, biscuity malt and earthy, bitter hops. A bit of an old wood element on the finish. Medium body, balanced carbonation. Drinkable, but unimpressive fest beer. bubblehouse (1542) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - AUG 14, 2015
It is good and easy to drink but its nothing special. Still a descent marzen but wouldn’t go out of my way for it. GJF (1520) - Mount Vernon, Iowa, USA - OCT 12, 2009
Solid Oktoberfest. Pours a bright copper, big white head. Caramel and bread dough flavors, just a bit of hop at the end. Pretty straightforward. pumpmaster (1396) - Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA - NOV 12, 2012
3 ounce sampler at the Grovetoberfest Miami beer festival 10/13/12. Very good! Magjayran (1378) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - NOV 20, 2008
A little brighter looking than other o fest beers. This is just another super sweet oktoberfest lager with a bit of apple juice and a very slight hop bite at the end. Solid but not my thing.
