12oz bottle (filled 9/4/13) - pours deep gold with almost no head. Caramel and floral nose. Slight pumpkin aftertaste or some other spice. Light body. Very neutral. Elwood (3347) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 19, 2009
Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Beerlando (3343) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 3, 2009
Appearance: Clear amber orange color with a very small, foamy, off-white head. Poor head retention.
Aroma: Toasty, malty nose with some dough notes as well.
Flavor: Earthy malt, some grain, malt sweetness, and an alcohol bite. The bitterness seemed to be a bit off on this one.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium, malty finish.
Overall: This one lacks a bit of crispness and just seems to sit there on your tongue. Everything just doesn’t quite come together with this one. Skip it in favor of better examples.
Fresh bottle. Pours a clear, dark amber hue with a medium, fading head of off-white froth. A soapy wash of lace dries to scattered micro-spots. The nose is clean and fresh, with light grain and toffee malt being countered by floral, peppery hops. Flavors show the same, fresh cereal grain and clean pale malt spiced with lively pepper and dried floral hops. Medium bodied and lively carbonated, it drinks easy. Simple, but well executed. italianjohn (3277) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 29, 2010

Pretty solid marzen. Copper colored. Sweet caramel and toffee aroma. Some spicy hops come through in taste, but dominated but sweet and bready malts. Easy drinking. Shag (3047) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - OCT 25, 2011
A golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some citrus and caramel. The flavor is oddly hoppy with some lemons and pine. Ofest my arse. If I rated on style Id tan this but I don’t so Ill say this is a pretty good session apa. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 13, 2008
Sampled at the 12th Annual Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Nice orange with a creamy white head. Bitter maltiness, caramel and some toasted malt breadiness. Caramel notes in the taste and a light finish of hops. UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - SEP 17, 2014
Brown pour with minimal head. Toast, malt, bread, caramel. Generally sweet. Big body, slam able. Everything a marzen should be.
