COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Clawhammer Oktoberfest is a lightly colored, but toasty, rich and full bodied Marzen style lager, brewed with traditional German malt and the finest noble hops. A spicy hop finish and aroma balance out the abundance of malt flavor. Clawhammer means pure high-country enjoyment!

Pours orange/amber with a fully receding tan head. Notes of sweet toasted malt, bread dough, crackers, chewy toffee. Medium to full bodied, lightly sweet with soft carbonation.

This Oktoberfest packs all of the autumnal flavors that make October the best time of the year, while having the smoothness of a lager to allow for a surprisingly delicious, refreshing treat.

Cloudy, amber-brown with a short tan head. Scent is caramel and bread. Taste is a mild, sweet, slightly spiced bread.... Malt and Caramel..... Nice hop notes at the finish.... Simple, but very good.

10/4/13. On tap at Bleu Cafe. My first rating on the new Windows app! Mild aroma, light malts, a hint of toffee and fruitiness. Flavor follows, lightly sweet, toasty. Meh

Drank from a bottle. This beer has a light to medium body with a hop note but more a carmel flavor.

Clear amber. Nice nutty malt. Slightly acidic finish that I wish was a little less aggressive.

A bit blah. Looked way better than it tasted. Pours a really nice color for a lager- clear amber with nice white head. Nuttiness and malt on the nose- same on palate with the addition of a bitter finish. About the right mouthfeel for a lager- feels more summer-y than an octoberfest beer should. Just not that much to it- want a bit more barley and hops and a bit less water in my brews.

Highland Clawhammer Oktoberfest is not the best in style, but it is not bad for a sessionable seasonal. Light malty aroma with light sweetness rising from an orange translucent pour with a head that fades too quickly. Taste is well balanced and not real bold with a light sweetness, malt notes and little spice. Clawhammer is a session beer that goes well with food, but not real special sample of the season.

Poured from bottle. Good aroma of sweet bread and citrus. Cloudy amber with a bit of head. Tasting brown sugar with malt and citrus/pear flavors. Also some cinnamon and spice. Kinda different - not bad.

Clear orange amber colored pour. Medium off-white head. Leaves some nice lace. Medium-plus body. Clean mild aroma. Crisp carbonation. Toasty, caramel malts in the taste. Moderate bitter, light sweet. Was solid.
