Got a bottle from an event at Highland Brewery, first craft brewery in Asheville. Beer has a bit of bite, and a lot of flavors that come with being amber. Probably couldn't stomach more than one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at curate. White head. Red clear color. Very bitter finish on this amber. Malty and fruity. Better than average amber.

Rated from notes taken 4 Feb 2012 -- My favorite red, smooth melding of malt with a lot of caramel that gives way to a nice roast. Easily my favorite red of the 2011/12 timeframe but haven’t drank since then.

Dark amber, clear pour with an huge head. One full finger of fluffy off-white head in the glass. Tons of head retention. Large malty nose. Good taste. Huge malty caramel sweetness. Drinking at the beach and goes well.
