Bottle acquired in trade with Johnathan3584 (thanks!) Poured a dark amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, and oranges. Tastes of the same. A little on the earthy side as well. Thinner body. jcwattsrugger (12506) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUN 10, 2006
12oz bottle-pours a light tan head with copper color. Aroma is a good balance of malt & hops. Taste follows with a hops finishing with a bite. Good carbonation. Sammy (12496) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 27, 2008
A red ale with a touch of roasted malt that makes it on the Scottish heritage given Highland’s theme. It’s in the aroma, and the aroma gives off a booziness far behind its ranking. Quite malty and medium plus mouthfeel, with hop bitterness rounding off the finish.Reddish brown colour with white foam covering.

Nice unique blend of roasted and bready malts, and bitter hops. Not a favorite red/amber, but not bad.

Bottle. Sweet apple-cherry malt aroma. Reddish amber color with small head. Lightly sweet apple cider and malt flavor with a touch of lemon and mild hops finish. Nicely drinkable. hopscotch (11175) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 2, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2005 Bottle... Dark, clear, amber ale. Tiny, off-white head. The nose is sort of non-descript, but it’s up against cigar smoke and something with a lot of vinegar just down the bar. Well-balanced flavor. Medium bitter and lightly tangy. Light-bodied and watery with medium carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter and dry. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2008
Tap at Taco Mac. Copper pour. Small head. Aroma is nice and malty balanced out with some good floral hops. Flavor has some sweetness, but it countered with the right amount of bitterness. Pretty damn good. kp (10881) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

clear copper, fine beige head, dark caramel malt aroma with earthy hops, sweet caramel flavor with a really nice candy caramel character, light hops add balance but otherwise stay out of the way of the hops, light bitterness in the finish
