Bomber thanks to tronranrer. Pours a nice clear copper color with a big and thick white head. A very nice nose with loads of hops, sweet and citrus-like. A very nice sweet hop burst, citrus and some caramel malts. A bit of alcohol and a really nice creamy head. Sweet and juicy. I’m glad to have gotten to try this brew. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 17, 2009
22 oz bottle split between three people. Color was ruddy orange with a good soapy head. The smell was intense hops but not pine or citrus. the taste was very hoppy with some tropical fruit flavors but not quite a West Coast. The only complaint I had with this beer was the astringency on my tongue. it got worse as I got to the bottom of my glass. Still, nice to be able to try this one.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a moderate white head. Nose is a little hoppy with some floral and sticky notes to it. Taste is nice and bitter, yet malty enough to balance it out and be smooth. Me gusta. Malty_MacHops (688) - Eastanollee, Georgia, USA - AUG 21, 2013
Standard Imperial IPA. Hoppy aroma with a malt backbone. Golden to amber with an off white foam. Bitter with a lot of warmth. Smooth with a pleasant bitter finish. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - FEB 21, 2014
Rcvd in trade.
The appearance has a golden amber colored body that is slightly transparent with a thin half finger white foamy head that dies immediately leaving some speckled spider web lacing clinging pretty hard to the glass.
The smell has biscuit/cracker malt-like subtleties coated over top of the hops - basically combined nicely with a tropical yet slightly citrusy sort of hops.
The taste is bittersweet as its nicely combined all the way throughout the entire drink. It has a bittersweet aftertaste with a dry sticky finish.
On the palate, she sits about a medium, comes across semi-sessionable, and has a carbonation that is good for a DIPA as there is nothing obscure and still gives an adequate sharpness most DIPA’s give, surprisingly enough, ABV isn’t really noticed.
Overall, this is a very good DIPA that I would have again.

First rating for this beer! Poured at the Brewgrass Festival in Asheville. Pours a clear copper color, with a thick, foamy light tan head. looks pretty nice. Smells of big hops, with some definite malty characters surrounding it. Seems to be balanced so far. The taste is actually big on the malt flavors. Almost creamy, with the big hops making their presence known as well. Pretty complex and interesting. Not awesome, by any means, but pretty solid. From a bottle provided by Oscar the night before Brewgrass. Thanks! Aroma is full of green hops, some malt, but mainly just fresh green hops that smell like they had been picked hours before entering this beer. Flavor is very hoppy too (5 different hops added at 7 different times will do this!) with a piney and citrus like taste. Fairly dry and earthy finish. nearbeer (5462) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 9, 2007
650 ml. Hazy, darkish copper with a medium head that lasts well with nice glass frosting. Honey, orange peel, resin and granola aroma. Taste is orange frosting, turning to orange chewable kid’s aspirin, then to malty-orange pine resin and ending with a bitter citrus-herb grass. Palate is light-medium bodied and really smooth. Quality brew, but has the most purely orange hop flavor I have ever sampled, and this lends a sweetness that detracts after half a glass. Sammy (12382) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 14, 2007
With great appreciation to Mike from Cole’s for sharing his bomber. Soapy head. Yeast and complex meld of five hops, including dry hops. Really stands out as interesting taste, this is not a hop bombing. Thanks Swoop Jones and to your sis for bringing back. Magjayran (1378) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - OCT 18, 2007
Clear orange/amber color with a rather large white head. Lace sticks to the glass the whole way down. Pineapple and tangerine in the aroma with some faint pine. Tangerine and peach in the flavor is rather nice but there is a rather boozy finish that I’m not very fond of. The heat at the end of this brings the score down a notch or two but I could see this one settling down a tad in a month or two.
