the aroma is a sweet tart fruity flavour. the beer it self pours into a deep dark abyss, void of any kind of light, topped with a steady white head. the taste is that of some preserved winter fruits almost too rich for my taste but balanced enough that the strong flavour doesnt blow my head away. this beer is a rich delectable treat, definitely for the slow sipper and a most courteous friend on a cold winter night. i can see why it would be called a seafaring stout, itll warm your belly for certain.

Creamy beige head stayed well on a near black still body. Dark coffee & plum aroma. Thick & creamy on the palate, minimal carbonation, slides down the throat.... Dark fruits, plum, brown sugar, sweet black coffee, malty & hints of vanilla. Such an easy drinking beer. The alcohol is completely hidden - so dangerous - but fun!!

Bottle. Dark chocolate, cherries, figs, roast&coffee finish. Subtle acetaldehyde. Medium body, hidden alcohol. I miss more flavour depth but it was tasty nonetheless.

Bottle. Pours black with a medium tan foam with variation subsiding slowly, residing quite thick, and with some legs of foam. Scent is quite mild, with notes of whiskey cask, light berries. Taste is medium dense Porter yeast with some properties of molasses and a grassy, green aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium dry and quite viscous considering how smooth it is. Great beer.

bottle, kindly donated by MoritzF! Deep black with a mid-szed beige head. Full-bodied, intensively malty with a pleasant but not heavy sweetness. Chocolatey with some shy dried fruits. Delicious and very moreish, despite the strength.

Bottle. Pleasant, complex aroma- you can find here malty sweetness, some plums, rosted notes. Looks perfect- black, unclear, with beige, tiny-bubbled head, which remains almost till the end. Taste- again some plums, roasty notes and malty sweetness. Nice, complex beer, but I prefer a bit more bitter RISs. Soflty carbonated. All in all, proper RIS.
