Sample at Daily Growler Powell during the "Land-Grant Collab (The Corsica) Launch + Empanadas Food Truck" event on 01/19/2018. Brown-black color with a medium khaki head that dissipates steadily to a film. Sparse patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, coconut and coffee. Medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, coconut, vanilla and coffee. The finish is roasty with a malt and coconut aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Pours an opaque black on tap with thin ring of tan head that leaves light lace. Aroma of big vanilla and sweet cocoa. Taste follows, wow, big on chocolate and vanilla, I guess what you could call coconut behind. Booze is super well hidden, yes.

Draft at Growler USA. Dark brown with tan head. Taste is too sweet for an impy, vanilla overload and milk chocolate.

Pour is a almost near black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and a nice bakers chcocolate. Flavor is sweeter with more of a milk chocolate with some coffee bitterness. Finish leaves a sticky chocolate on the tongue. A bit thin for a Impy stout but this was still flavorful with plenty of roast and chocolate.

12 oz bottle from a 4 pack at home. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized creamy khaki colored head that lasts. The aroma and flavor have vanilla and toasted coconut, chocolate, light roast, the coffee is mild, good mouthfeel, the only negative is an artificial character that distracts a bit, some earthy bitterness, good.

Cybercat (6434) - Georgia, USA - APR 1, 2017
Pours coffee brown with a thick and fairly persistent dark tan head. Strong aroma presents roast quality coffee, roast malt, hints of molasses and chocolate. Vanilla and an undertone of coconut come forth in the taste, along with quality coffee, roast malt, semi-sweet chocolate and molasses. Firm, viscous body features good fizz. Don’t go big, go Imperial!
