Pours a pale, pale golden with thin white head. Nose is faint with spicey hops and a very subtle sweetness. Taste is thin and citrusy with a mild hop bitterness. I had this a while back and remember it being a lot better. thebirdshow (27) - Burlington, North Carolina, USA - MAR 3, 2006
A golden yellowish beer with a slight haze in appearance. A fresh fruity floral smell with a hint of hops. Medium in body with a bitter finish common to an IPA. A slightly bitter after taste and overall sort of light. Shag (3001) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - JAN 26, 2006
A yellowish/orange appearance with a moderate head. The aroma is apricots and peaches with a slight perfume presence. The flavor is quite good but rather mild with some more peaches showing through than anything. Some oranges and grassy hops showing through. The aftertaste is where the bitterness shows up. Overall I like it! Bigsilky (327) - Charleston, USA - JAN 16, 2006
Bottle, Not a huge hoppy nose of grapefruit that usually accompanies AIPA. Nice potpurri spice and earthy elements in a solid malt background. BeerHawk (1810) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - JAN 1, 2006
Bottle. Poured a golden color with a small white head. Grapefruit citrus in the aroma but also some earthy notes and like a medical alcohol swab pad smell. Nice pine, spices, and citrus in the flavor. Light bodied, lively carbonation, and an IPA bitter ending. Very enjoyable.

Toasted malt aroma with some citrus and slight iced tea. Hazy straw in color with a fluffy white head. Some lime in the flavor, straw - like a belgian golden, dry finish. Very light in body. Not a bad brew. Call it a pale and people would rave, as an IPA it is a bit thin. Thanks Blackie. j2112oe (3) - USA - DEC 16, 2005 does not count
hoppy, though not as some, still pleasant taste. i like the citrusy aroma, good beer. two thumbs up. Ayumbomb (63) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - DEC 9, 2005
I hate IPAs but this stuff isn’t too bad. Most IPAs leave me with a horrible aftertaste, but this is very smooth. If you don’t like hoppy beers, like most IPAs, this stuff won’t bite. jhliesen (832) - West Melbourne, Florida, USA - DEC 4, 2005
Bottle-I’ve tried more than one, and I can’t get past the aroma. Someone listed it as dank, that’s probably a nice description. Pretty light copper color with a froathy small head. The lacing did cover the glass and the beer provided a medium hoppy taste, if you can get past the smell. Overall, the most disappointing Highland brew. fluids (364) - Massachusetts, USA - DEC 3, 2005
Amber color. Bice piney nose. Caramel smoothens over the grapefruit citrus hops with a dry finish. Had this at a tasting in Orlando 11/27/05.
