3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear pale amber color with a medium white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light-bodied with a mildly bitter citrusy hops character and notes of toasted malt and pine. The finish is crisp with a cedar wood and hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
It pours a pale golden color with a small quickly vanishing white head. It has the grapefruit aroma of cascade hops. It has a nice grapefruit taste, some honey, lemon and a fair bit of bitterness. I enjoyed this beer and am glad I bought it. aracauna (3705) - Georgia, USA - NOV 12, 2015
Nice dry APA. Bitterness is crisp instead of harsh and the malt is almost like that of a pilsner. dhatton (241) - Mendham, New Jersey, USA - OCT 25, 2015
Pours orange gold. Herbal, grass, and pine aroma. Smooth taste of light citrus and dry biscuit. Crisp finish yields decent pale ale. hershiser2 (3821) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - SEP 25, 2015
Bottle. Very light gold with an inch of head. Se citrus and light floral in the nose. Malts almost overtake the hops but it's not bad. Some coffee ground flavor as well.

Clean beer with a light/medium body. Mild, but pleasant bitterness. Taste is simple but pleasant for a hot day.

>> Sparkling straw pour with good foam. Nose is wet dog (volatile), lemon drop candies, orange rind, grassy hops. Taste is similar but lighter bodied than expected...grassy, sharp, easily to drink, rindy citrus bite, slight sticky lemon drop candy hints at bottle age, which was about 3 months old. Still, quite good and though not exactly billed as Session IPA, that’s essentially what this has accomplished.
Bottle. Pours clear light gold. Aroma is cereal and toasted malts, grapefruit, orange peel, and light floral notes. Flavor is a great balance of dry malts and grassy/floral hop character and some faint citrus notes. Light/medium body. malvrich (364) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAY 10, 2015
UPDATED: MAY 18, 2015 From bottle to a tulip.
A: Pours a rich gold with an inch of craggy eggshell foam. A slight haze but maybe from chill. Average carbonation and very good head retention. Nice lacing also.
S: Pronounced citrus aroma. Lemon/orange more than the expected grapefruit. No malt scent that I can discern but the beer is very cold.
T: Taste is a sort of hollow lemon and toasted sourdough. Seems watery. Potential is there but disappointing actually. I know low ABV is an objective here, but this needs more malt body. A slight vegetal note becomes evident as it warms. Doesn’t help.
M: Very light in body as expected with more carbonation than shows in appearance. Average.
O: As much as I wanted to love this, I honestly can’t find much to recommend. This Ale looks good and smells delicious but the taste fails to live up to expectations. Bufordbrewer (48) - Georgia, USA - MAY 8, 2015
Pours Golden, fairly clear into tulip. 1.4 inch head, small lacing. This tastes very close to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Must be the Cascade hops, which both brewers use. That’s good, because I love SN Pale ale. Drinking a little more, this comes across a little thin. I would interchange this with SN Pale Ale, except that SN Pale Ale is much more economical....
