I am a fan of deeper and darker porters. The Oatmeal porter, while good, is missing the deep coffee/chocolate taste of other porter offerings. I consider this offering to almost in essence be a "lite-porter" if you catch my drift snoworsummer (6063) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 27, 2014
Draft. Pours dark copper brown with a thick, creamy beige head. Tastes like very roasted malt, toast, woody, lightly burnt coffee. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like creamy roasted malt, nutty. sonnycheeba (6342) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 27, 2014
Tap. Pours deep, dark brown with thick creamy beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, oats, chocolate, light earthiness, and faint plums. Flavor is chocolate forward, light roast, oats, medium bitterness, and faint dark fruit notes; smooth and tasty. Medium body and carbonation. jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 25, 2014

Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Slight chocolate aroma with more hops aroma than most porters. Thin mouthfeel but with a nice medium taste. Not to malty or hoppy taste. ACHops (1635) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 27, 2014
12 oz bottle, served in a pint glass. Pours dark brownish black with medium thick creamy mocha head. Aroma is smooth dark roasty malt, light creamy chocolate notes. Taste is crisp super smooth dark chocolate malt, light roasty notes on the finish. Really well balanced. Oatmeal makes this incredibly smooth. One of the better straight porters I’ve had; in the same league as Black Butte, Edmund Fitzgerald, etc. Only shortcoming is perhaps a little light on the hops. kaser (6381) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 26, 2014
Black pour from 12oz bottle at Edison. White head. Sweet and coffee aroma. Milky and sweet taste. A little bland but very drinkable. DCLawyer (2914) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - OCT 26, 2014
Bottle->pokal. Deep brown with moderate frothy lite tan head. A: chocolate, roasted malt, cereal. T: cocoa, oats, roasted malt. Bittersweet, and a tad watery. Decent, if unexciting.
