It is hard for me to find anything even silightly not perfect with this beer. Great flavor. Chocolate, and roasted flavor, perfect balance of bitterness, and wonderful aroma. I usually don't even care about foam retention, and even that is good. Makes me proud to be from NC, and shows that even our backwards, idiotic, and negligent beer laws can't prevent good beer from happening.

Rich and tasty. Very smooth. Quite drinkable, even in summer. More malty than bitter. Nice color and aroma.

a slight hop bitterness blends well with a deeper malty flavor...i didn't get any chocolate roasted hints though as the description suggests. very filling. i could barely finish two of them. but tasty!
