Cask at The Scottish Real Ale Festival 2014. Pours clear orange amber, no head. Aromas of jam and marmalade, really jammy! Light spice there too. Taste is more of the same, light booze note. Half pint at The Paisley Beer Festival. Very dark. No head. Hint of mint. Smell of licorice too.

Bottle from Elysium. Aroma: Mead, caramel, lot of dried fruit, molasses, light alcohol, resin, peach. Appearance: Nice head, quite dense, hazy golden colour. Cask at North Bar, Leeds. Pour an orange-gold, finger of head that lasts. Aroma is sweet, with some hops, grassiness and a hint of maple syrup, but I think its dampened by the head. Taste is very sweet - golden syrup, caramel, with a hint of hops, a little honey. Cask suits it, but leaves it a shade cloying. Need to drink it slowly. Chelmsford Beer Festival. Pretty much a clear gold - amber beer. Little pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Super mild carbonation. Lactose sweet malt with a nice nutty caramel. Floral dried fruits, Touch of licorice. The milky sweetness holds this sweetish and clean barley wine together.
