[500ml bottle, Cornelius Beer&Wine, Edinburgh] Clear golden colour. Deep toffee apple alcohol aromas, some wood, hops and sweetness. Malt forward on the palate, some raisin/pruneish flavours, before the sweet alcohol finish. Very complex, extremely well-balanced and dangerously drinkable at 6% Oakes (18543) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 7, 2010
Cask, Malt & Hops, Leith. Deep amber and bright. The aroma is strange, a bit perfumey maybe. Soapy taste, way too much alcohol in the finish. Not well-balanced. madmitch76 (25344) - , Essex, ENGLAND - AUG 21, 2010

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as some fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and fruit, leading to a dry finish. patrick767 (4095) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - JUL 9, 2010
cask at Bow Bar in Edinburgh - Pours amber gold with a small, lasting head and good lacing. It smells of hops and lightly fruity malt. The flavor has good bitterness and is well balanced. It’s smooth, medium bodied, and quite quaffable. Sigmund (7828) - Tau, NORWAY - JUN 16, 2010
500 ml bottle, thanks to my beerpal Olav who brought it home from the Orkneys. ABV is 6%. Deep golden colour, big to moderate white head, some lacing. Fairly nice aroma, fruity and herbal hops, also noticeable malts, hints of toffee. The flavour has acceptable malts but is not very sweet, with distinct herbal and "dusty" English hops in the finish. Okay. leaparsons (10700) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2010

Low toast malts with a warming, fruity bitter finish. downender (8774) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2010
Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Amber in colour with plenty of carbonation. Malty, marmalade and fruity hop aroma. Flavour was sweet, with some citrus hop, sticky malts and short dry finish. Good without standing out.
