Appearance: Dark mahogany in colour with ruby highlights.
Nose: A lovely roasted grain aroma and some dark berry fruit.
Palate: After a slight tartness (always a good sign in a porter), coffee and chocolate dominate the palate, with a hint of smoke lending complexity. Nutty bitter chocolate pervades the persistent finish.

Pours dark brown, almost black with beige head. Aroma of sweet roast, alcohol and burnt treacle. Taste is dry coffee, spicy hops, burnt caramel and yeast esters. Medium carbonation, let down abit by a thin body.

Bottle from Fountainhall Wines. Pours dark, dark ruby brown with a foamy light-tan head. Aromas of blackcurrants, melted butter, sweet coffee and a little fruit loaf. Flavours develop from smooth, dusty roasted malt flowing to sweet caramel building to a bitter coffee finish with a little spirity booze. It has a soft, glossy mouthfeel with an at-odds lively sparkle. I could imagine the carbonation may be a little lively for some but I thought this porter was fantastic. Beautifully glossy with gentle, flowing aromas and flavours.

Dark fruits , and caramel malt on the aroma. The taste is full of plummy fruits, with hints of bitterness on the finish .

W aromacie karmel, czekolada, słodko, nuty ciemnych owocw. W smaku brakuje cielistości, jest karmel, słodycz, likier czekoladowy, straszny zamulacz bez treści. Pijałem lepsze bałtyki za 3 ziko z dyskontu, serio!

Bottle. Caramel, sweet chocolate, lots of dried fruit, plums and berries. Roast&licorice finish, light coffeeish, oily and dry. The sweetness is more apparent in the aroma than in the flavour, so in the end the beer turns out to be well balanced. Very good.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2017 Bardzo konkretny imperial porter - w smaku i aromacie wyraźne nuty melanoidynowe, dużo kakao, paloności, dość słodkie, całkiem pijalne, bardzo smaczne. Naprawdę intesywne, przyjemne piwne doznanie. Dobry imperial porter, zahaczający smakiem i aromatem o portera bałtyckiego. Bardzo dobre piwo.
